The turntables-drums extravaganza trio is back with something that might be their first proper album!
After a handful of mixtapes, EPs, countless edits and a double single in the form of a rakija, Jusqu'ici tout va bien is a stylistically almost consistent, compact, neatly arranged and thoroughly produced – sometimes frantic other times slow – dance with the devil in the pale moonlight. The key component of the album making process being: first trying out the new tracks live, then tweaking, adding, scraping, changing ...
The selection of samples is as usual all over the board. The record is thus a complete mess of references – a bouillabaisse of hard funk, Afro fuzz, Brazilian interventions, Greek nostalgia, bluesy chants and library digs, with lots of vocals thrown in! All in all, a loyal music companion to get you through these gangster times.
